2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Question: Sensor gauge for thermostat for A/C

Allyson, 3.5L V6, Springfield, OH, June 27, 2009, 21:12

My temperature gauge reads -40 degrees and therefore will not allow my A/C and Defrost to kick on! Not sure where the sensor for the gauge is located.

The ambient temperature sensor is usually located in front of the radiator or under the bumper some where. The sensor has two wires attached to it one light green/black the other is yellow. The sensor may just be disconnected.
