Question: security won't start

i replaced my ignition and after i did that the car still would't start so i bought a battary, and yet still wouldn't start so i had my brother witch is a mechanic look at it he put gas in one of the hoeses and it would start but die off about 30 sec after so i think its a security problem after reserching it is their a way to reset the security on the car to get it to run

    Well I have the same problem with my 2000 oldsmobile alero and if the security light is coming on??? then I have to turn my car ignition to ACC let that stay for 5 min. then when the security light is in a stand still then turn to off then the car will crank when turned to on. I hope this helps
