My Solara Convertible driver side seat belt has never retracted completely. Is there a way to adjust this? Can a home mechanic accomplish this?

There are no adjustments to these belts. No manufacturer is serviceable. Depends on how bad whether you replace the belt or just don't worry because it retracts far enough to keep you safe when driving.

Some of these belts actually have a small charge that operates the restraining mechanism and you don't want to service them. Part of it is the move by so much of what we do to parts that cannot be serviced. Some of this is good but a lot that you would think should be repairable is not. Part of the world in which I live.
