seat belt on 2002 Volvo S80

The seat belt on the front seat passenger's side is stuck and will not come out. When I tried to pull it out it will not come out. What's the problem and fix?

When this happens, if you cannot get the belt to come out it will likely need replacement. The mechanism inside is likely bad and cannot be repaired. It's hard to know without physically checking it, but that's my assessment based on my experience with these S80s.
