  I have a Honda Element 2003. I bought it at the end of 2004 but left the country and did not drive it till 2005. The Element had 8000 mi on it. I was told that in Wisconsin if under 10,000 mi. it could be sold as a 'new' car. The Elemnt now has 45,000 mi. The Honda Dealer seems to be helpful and willing to work with their customers. I am not certain that they are realy fixing problems that crop up or that the Elemnt has inherint issues. After two years I needed a new battery and new tires. It seems that this was awfuly early to have to replace these two items.
  There was a recall on the Elemnt for replace the ignition switch. I had this done ( also have met all the maintenence schedules). Three months after this was done the Elemnt would not start. I took it back to this same dealer and they could not figure out what was wrong/ 3 times in fact. Then they put in a new starter that did not work! Then they replaced it with another one and thhere is something wrong with it also. ( they also had me buy new brakes for the Element ). I am begining to wonder what is going on?
