Question: Scheduled maintenance warranty coverage.

Visitor, 5.7L V8 HEMI, Leesburg, VA, April 21, 2010, 07:29

Took my truck in for 30K service. Rep said total would be $1270. I have a scheduled maintenance warranty and he said that it would only cover a Cat A, which is oil change and spark plugs. Would not cover the remainder, $870 for fluid changes, PVC valve etc, because live in area where might have excessive idling and stop and go traffic. Was not told this when I purchased the warranty. Is this correct?

    This sounds very high, I would call around to other shops and see what they are charging for similar services. Here are some in your area: http://repairpal.com/directory?address=20176&car_bran...
    The shop is referring to "Severe Service" maintenance, however unless your using your truck as a work vehicle, towing and hauling, then you likely can follow the normal maintenance schedule.
