The Engine May Stall Due to a Faulty Fuel Pump
The fuel pump may fail and cause the engine to stall unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.
We at RepairPal have designated this a high priority recall. The engine may stall without warning. Please contact your Saab dealer, they will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
The fuel pump may have been incorrectly manufactured and could fail causing the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the fuel pump on affected vehicles. The recall is scheduled to begin by February 18, 2011. The Saab recall number is 15029.

FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP
SAAB IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 AND 2011 PASSENGER VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM JUNE 2010 THROUGH OCTOBER 2010. CERTAIN FUEL PUMPS INSTALLED AS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MAY HAVE INTERNAL COMPONENTS WITH INCORRECT SPECIFICATIONS.
THE SUBJECT FUEL PUMPS CAN SEIZE CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL, WHICH INCREASES THE RISK OF A CRASH.
SAAB WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMPS FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT FEBRUARY 18, 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT SAAB AT 1-800-955-9007.
