Question: Runs rough on light acceleration

 Rookie

After starting up, once engine gets warm, it runs rough on light acceleration. If I push to 2K RPM or higher, the stuttering/vibration goes away. The engine runs fine on idle, and has 170K miles. I've been using Valvoline MAXLife since approx. 80K miles.

  Sound like a misfire. Have you checked the ignition system components? Cap, Rotor and spark Plugs?

• car loses power
  the car loses power or almost stalls periodically.Then runs rough a few seconds and then clears up. It is always when you are idling and hit the accelerator.
