running lights on 2001 Subaru Outback

my running lights won't turn off, even when the engine is off.

some higher optioned subarus have a sepete switch that will turn on the running lights when the car is off because the lights turn off when you remove the key. check your owners manual to see if you have it, could be in several places but on top of the steering column where hazard switch would be is most common. you may not have it but it's worth checking before looking deeper.
