1996 Ford Mustang

Question: rpm gauge not working,all other gauges and needles work fine.

I just had my cluster unit repaired and all gauges worked when tested.After installing in my car everything works except my tach/rpm gauge,is this run seperately to something else and what should i check to fix the problem?Thanks!!!

    First, check fuse 15 (10a)- it powers the tach function. The tachometer is a solid state circuit that decode the engine pulses signal sent from your powertrain control module. If the tach is recieving this signal, you may have a faulty cluster unit.

    My cluster unit is good, along with my fuses,what does that leave to troubleshoot?RPM GAUGE WORKS,WHEN IT WAS REPAIRED,JUST NOT IN CAR!
