 Rookie

what kind of tools would i need? basically i need to kmow if I can do the job from the oil pan or if im going to need to pull the engine out???

  if your rads are knocking, then 99% of the time the crank shaft needs to be re-machined. when the rod bearing go, they take out the crank, that is why there is such a loud knock, it is the rod smashing against the rod journal on the crank shaft. Be sure to check your crank shaft.
