Took my truck in for transmission problem I thought it was terminal, slipping, and smoking. But was surprised and very happy with the mechanics at roberts garage. I only had a leaking line. thanks for your honesty and help.

I took my car into Jim Roberts Automotive with a power steering leak and told them of the high-pitched squeal and tire-rubbing noises. Mike took my information and wrote down on a piece of paper "noise", power steering leak, transmission. They had the vehicle for 2 days and replaced a leaking hose for the power steering for $322. When I picked the vehicle up, it was still squealing and making the tire rubbing noise. They never addressed the other issues and I was ready to pay top dollar for full repairs! When I asked the owner Jim about the job he said, "I didn't do the job so I don't know." I told him it was his business and he should take responsibility for his workers. When I took it in to Christian Brothers Automotive in Franklin the next day, I was told that the squealing was coming from the power steering fluid all over my belts and it should have been cleaned during the initial hose repair. I explained to Jim Roberts that the job was half-done and was told, "All we look at is what you tell us to." I explained that I did tell him about all the issues I was aware of going on with my vehicle but also that I was not a mechanic!!! I don't know if there are other problems with my vehicle and I was expecting him to be able to point those out to me. Jim's workers did not listen to anything I told them, did not assess the issues I requested, and allowed the car to leave the lot making God awful noises! Jim did no offer any compensation, refund or reprimanding of his workers. His comment to me was, "All I can say is..sorry?" I will never use Jim Roberts Automotive services again & do not recommend them!
