This is a very difficult job, rip and tear are not unusual words to hear when trying to remove a door panel with the door closed. I have have pretty good luck in the past, here are some tips. First, remove ALL of the fasteners you have access to with the door closed. (You may need so help form a repair manual to determine where all he fasteners are.) Next, with the window down (hopefully you can roll the window down) try and lift the upper edge and pull it back where it hooks over the top of the door frame. Begin working in the middle where the door panel will have some give. As you begin to loosen to top of the panel you can try and release the retainers on both side of the panel. Working SLOWLY and CAREFULLY hopefully you can move the door panel out of the way enough to release the latch and open the door. Working through the window opening at the top of the door with as "slim-jim" tool may also help to release to door latch.
