Plastic shield over back up lights fell off somewhere. No luck at salvage yard to find one. Had to replace the entire lamp unit, which by the way no longer uses the plastic shield, for more than 500 bucks.

We also lost the back panel. Quote to get a new one was over $200.00

On the 2003's there is a plastic panel that covers the backup lights...it's about 1'X 3'...I guess it's common for these to just blow off. We just purchased the 03 CTS with only 41000 miles and had driven it for about 2 weeks when we noticed the panel was gone, exposing the backup lights. We choose to fix it right instead of trying to find a replacement at the salvage yard (since it seems to be design flaw because they about non exsistant). So we had it replaced with the metal more secure piece and after the painting etc (it is pearl white) the Bill was over a $1000. But won't fall off again!
