Reset switch on 1998 Chevrolet S10

Under dash next to drivers right leg there is what appears to be a reset switch what is it for

Possibly an aftermarket alarm system or other add on equipment. Dont know of any factory switch there on these vehicles. Little bitty toggle switch? Must be a recently purchased truck.

Push it and see what happens!! If factory, it's in the manual. I have seen hundreds of these vehicles and none had a push botton switch under the dash that was O.E! I guess if everything is working ok, it dont really matter though. Does make you wonder why it was put there!
