reset computer on 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I had my alternator and battery replaced but my battery light keeps coming on. Should the computer be reset when the battery is replaced. If so, how do I reset the computer and where is it located on a 2004 Mazda 6?

nope. you still have a charging problem. return to the installer and have them check the alternator output. the light indicates a problem. Roy

Where is the alternator output located on the 2004 Mazda 6? Would the installer have to remove the alternator to find the alternator output?

Just took my '04 mazda 6 to get emissions tested and it failed due to readiness. Two of the computer modules were not ready: 'EV' and 'E'. Anyone know what that means? Check engine light is not on...
