Question: Replacing water pump, dealer wants to add a tensioner and a serpentine belt

Is this normal procedure or dealer fluff

    For an 05,it should be due for a new serpentine.The tensioner may fall into the same into the "might as well" category,but personally,I would like to note an issue with it before replacing.
    Note: I am just an enthusiast,driveway mechanic on my own cars,not a professional mechanic.

    Yes it is a good idea would be cheaper for you in the long run. Should be no additional labor charges.
