what should I expect to pay to replace my trailblazer's rear differential

    Your looking at 4.8 hours labor for non positraction and 5.9 hours labor for positraction, Thats for remove and overhaul without parts. At $80 to $100 per hour for labor probably better off calling a truck wrecker and putting in a used rear end. Call around and get estimates from a shop that specializes in differentials.

    just had mine done, went from a closed diff. to open and it cost me for an '03, total bill with parts was $1100
    the '03s had a different size bearing and shaft so it's all new parts needed, no way to rebuild
