The upper dash trim panel must be removed in order to replace the light sensor on your 2005 GMC Yukon. It is a bit tricky to remove some of the bits that hold the upper dash trim in place. If you think you may want to try the repair yourself please let me know and I will try and help you trough the process.

Thank you Oakman, I replaced it last week. I took the instrument bezel off, removed the radio and went in through the small gap between the dash trim and the AC duct. Not an easy task but it's done.

The fuel pump may fail causing the engine to stall and not restart. Our technicians recommend replacing the fuel filter every 30,000 miles to help prevent undue strain on the fuel pump.
