Question: replacing hydrolics that controll the convertable top going up and down

How hard is it to change the hydrolic cyclinders that put the convertable top up and down and where can I get instructions

    If you really want to do this job, get the best information you can, this is a very technical system and trying to repair it without the proper tools and info is asking for trouble. For Mercedes, I prefer Bentley, but I would see if you can get the factory info from Mercedes. http://bit.ly/Bentley_Repair_Manuals

    I just replaced mine really not hard. Dennis Ficken in Kansas will send you detailed instructions with pictures and will rebuild cylinders for a fraction of the cost for new ones. His number is (913) 390-0506. Found his name and references on benz world. Took about an hour to take them out and few days to get cylinders back and 2 hours to put them back in. Was alot easier than anticipated - don't often work on cars myself.
