1990 Chrysler LeBaron Question: replacing hydralic cylinder for convertable top passenger side
Answer #1milesauto from Miles Auto Service Inc., April 18, 2012, 14:14Master
I cut and pasted replacement procedure from manual. No bleed procedure is mentioned. My research on the fluid indicates it takes ATF.
Remove cylinder mounting bracket and nut.
Disconnect cylinder eyelet attachment. Be careful not to lose the isolator washers.
Disconnect hydraulic lines from the cylinder.
Remove cylinder from vehicle.
Reverse the above procedure for installation and make sure that each hydraulic seal is in place when connecting the line to the cylinder. (If damaged, replace the seal.)
