2002 Chrysler Concorde Question: replacing headlights

drizzt7706, 3.5L V6, Sevierville, TN, February 02, 2009, 19:24

How do I replace the headlight bulbs in an '02 Concorde. The light covers say refer to owner's manual, but the car did not come with one. I went to the Advanced Auto Parts and looked at a Haynes Repair Manual but the instructions were vague at best b/c my car had been in an accident and a metal crosspiece now sits where the holes for taking the bulbs out sits...through much difficulty I managed to take out the high beam bulbs but the low beams still elude me...also the instructions say to take off the front end bumper the headlight housing, jack up the car and take all the fasteners off the front fascia. I pray there is an easier way, all help is appreciated in advance?

I'm sure they plug into the back of the headlight housing from the engine compartment, Look for the wires leading to the headlight housing and grab the plug and turn it 1/4 turn and it should pop out, then unplug the bulb and plug in a new bulb. If your having problems go to your neighborhood autoparts store and have them help you.

you need to remove the bolts from the top of the bumper cover, then remove the nut thru the access hole in the wheel well, you will need a long extension and a deep well socket. pull the bumper cover out slightly and remove the whole headlight assembly, and replace your bulb, it is a pain so have fun.

That is what we had to do. Look it up on the internet, it tells you the same thing. Pain in the butt.
