replacing brake drums on 1996 GMC Jimmy

how do you replace the brake drums on a 96 gmc jimmy

Pull them straight off. You may need to "un-adjust" the rear brakes first, and if the drum seems rusted to the axle flange hit the drum with a good size hammer in between the wheel studs.

Pull your wheel off remove the drum it make take some heat if it is froze on around the spud most generally a propane torch is enough but in some cases more heat is required. check and replace brake shoes if necessary replace the the drum and put wheel back on. your done.
Do not heat brake drums or rotors, you run a good chance of warping the rotor or creating an out of round drum.
