Replacing ac bearing? on 2005 GMC Sierra 1500

Is it difficult to replace the ac bearing on my ac compressor. I usually fix 99% of problems myself so i am mechinicaly inclined?

If you can get a new A/C clutch that is separate from the compressor, but that is getting harder and harder to find. Many A/C compressors are sold as one unit, clutch and all. Then you will need some pulling tools, pressing tools and then you have to properly shim the compressor clutch clearance. I would go to www.alldatdiy.com for information on how to do this and call a good GM dealership about the parts. You will also need an A/C vacuum pump and a good set of A/C gauges as well. Good Luck.
