When driving in town, there is a hissing noise after letting off the brake. Replaced Brake Booster with remanufactured Brake Booster. Upon picking up vehicle, the brake pedal goes all the way to floor board and it stops, but very promptly!!!! Not Normal!!! Don't know if part is bad or mechanic hooked it up incorrectl???

Bret Bodas from RepairPal Test Shop, November 20, 2010, 19:52MasterIt would be very hard to hook something up wrong on this job to make this happen, but when humans are involved, anything's possible. This sounds like there's air in the hydraulic system. I would take it back and ask that they bleed the entire brake hydraulic system and double check their work.

PhilRichmond, November 20, 2010, 20:20RookieThank you so much for taking the time to reply. They said that they did that, but blame the problem on a defective remanufactured Power Brake Booster. This has really messed me up since we were planning on driving the vehicle to Dallas this coming Monday.

JourneymanBleed the whole system, maybe even have them bench bleed the master cyclinderand then the brake lines, and like bretb stated for the things they did it should be covered under their warranty
