suggest letting a local shop check this for you. may be a
wiring issue or the "new" alternator may be defective right
from the box.

"new" alternator may be defective right from the box. <--- there is way you can check that . on the back of the alternator there is positive wire you need check to see if there is any volt coming out of the alternator normal volts is is anywhere 13.1 to 14.8 volt. if theres that means you have a electrical problem bet win alternator and battery.
