How do I get at the third brake light ( above the trunk ) to replace a burned out bulb? I do not see any access from trunk or from inside cabin behind rear seat? There is no info in owners manual.

Dealer says you need to take out the back seat & side panels to access bulb for a repair bill of $ 216 - is this true?

Thanks for responding. My problem started when the dealer reprogrammed the chip to cut off the throttle when the break is applied. They quoted me just under $300 claims the entire plastic panel behind the seat is replaced. If I could get it off I would just splice in a standard bulb and toss the LEDs. In my case the break warning light does NOT lightup indicating a failure the dealer says that is correct but then what is the purpose of the warning light?
