the driver seat has a short in it causing the seat to heat up. Is the heater replaceable?

    Yes the heater is replaceable but requires taking apart the upholstery. I would remove the fuse to prevent the risk of fire. I believe it is fuse #39 a 30 Amp fuse in the fuse box in the engine compartment passenger rear side . Remove the fuse and see if the seat motors still function to move the seat. Check the fuse box cover to ensure fuse 39 is seat heater fuse.
