I have experienced the same problem after replacing the fuel pump and filter, cleaned MAFS,changed air filter and oil and it operated perfect for three and a half weeks. Then at that time sputter and miss, pop and ping in muffler and then dies out, but this the battery is dead as well. WHAT is this about?
Engine fails to crank when warm. Cranks when cold, but misses at takeoff. Have to let off throttle, then ok rest of trip. When warm after some amount of driving, have to wait until engine cools, then it will crank. Acts like it's flooded.
My 99 escalade died on the interstate after i put gas in it. The past couple of days I have smelled gas when I parked. When I tried to crank back up I heard a popping noise in the muffler. I'm thinking its the Fuel Pump!....???????
First it was a fuel line underneath the drivers side. The way it was mounted actually caused it to rub and eventually rub a hole through the metal line. I had it fixed but I still smelled a slight odor of gas. A week later the fuel pump went out on me.
went to pick out some wood flooring and when I was done my car wouldn't start. Called triple A, they said it was my fuel pump, I had it towed.
