The Fuel Pump May Fail Causing the Engine to Stall or Crank Over But Not Start on Oldsmobile 88

The fuel pump can fail causing the engine to stall and not restart. Our technicians highly recommend to replace your fuel filter every 30,000 miles to help prevent undue strain on the fuel pump.

My car had this issue, after I replaced the in-line fuel filter. Much car emust be taken when replacing theis filter, once the car has been in teh salt for more thatn 5 years. The gas tank sending unit will rust at the output steel tube stub, and replacement is very expensive. Also see rough idle and stalling issues.
Fuel pump just went on me never replaced the filters. Will start now. even though it is a bit late
