How much should I expect to pay at a Ford dealership to replace several dashboard lamps? Can I do this myself? Would an independent auto repair shop be a better choice. My current shop of choice has declined the repair.

this is not hard you need to remove the plastic bezel some pop others have screws the gauge cluster is fastened with 5 or 7 mm head screws 4 of them i think, pull the cluster toward you and unplug the electrical connection also note where the bulbs are out . the bulbs are only 1$ or less apiece why shop turned this down i dont understand its a quick fix.

People turn this job down because of how fragile the parts are. There is too much risk for damage if you are not experienced and extra careful. For example - if you damage a locking tab on the connectors to the cluster, you are in trouble with securing it! My recommendation is to probably spend a few bucks extra and have someone do it who can be accountable.
