Go to this site- http://www.jasperengines.com/index.php They have an engine/tranny matching feature on their site to get the correct transmission for your truck based on your VIN number.
Answer #2
The 1993 Ford F-150 used either an electronic transmission - E4OD or a hydraulic unit - the AOD.
The E4OD was more common.
The AOD was only behind some 5.0L V8 engines with 4x4.
The numbers you are giving are not the numbers that will cross; but are close. E7TP means a transmission made for a 1987 model year. The 1987 and 1993 are quite a ways apart. The 1987 crosses all the way up to a 1991, but not beyond. Even so, if you wanted to chance it, the only hope you would have is that your '93 would have a 5.0L and 4x4, with a non-electronic AOD behind it. If this is the case, and you have an AOD from 1987 -- it MIGHT work. But it might not too. The vacuum controls may differ with 6 years in between. Who knows what the gear ratios may be internally.
Also, some E7PT transmissions are instead 3 speed C6's - also hydraulic only. You definitely do not want to bolt that in!
It would be best to just get the correct unit for your vehicle.

Automatic or manual? most common are C6. Mine has metric stamped on the pan with 20 bolts. I'll have to get my Haynes manual.
