repairs on 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser

I own a 2003 pt cruiser with 105000 miles on it. Question is I have a recurring problem with the frt end clunking sounds when driving on semi rough roads, and the other problem is when should the timing belt be done

Have the CV shafts ever been changed? maybe they are clunking and 100,000 miles is about the mileage to replace the timing belt but replace the whole timing belt kit with tensioner included.
