Question: Repair indash cd player

Question

My factory installed indash cd player has 2 cds stuck inside that cannot be ejected. They do not register as being loaded. Should I take this to a dealer or is there somewhere else less expensive or better qualified to make the repair?

You could take it to an independent radio shop. They specialize in fixing this sort of problem, and the same stereos are used in a lot of different cars and fail in this way quite often.

It's almost never cheap, even at an independent specialist, but it's probably cheaper than the dealer.

This response is a little late but, I sent my Mach Audio Stereo to "Audio and Video Service Stop". They repair OEM stereos as well as sell refurbished ones. I bought a Refurb for a ton cheaper than a new one from the dealer. Here's their Webite: http://www.videoservicestop.com/radiorepairs/ford.htm
