Question: Repair cost estimate - parts & labor separate

Visitor, 4.0L V6, Renton, WA, April 29, 2011, 18:31

Cost of parts & labor (separately) to:

1. Replace all 4 shocks

2. Service rear brakes

3. Replace gas tank

4. Fix ABS light - constantly on

5. Replace timing chain (and rails, tensioners, etc. if needed)

    1. does it have standard shocks or struts?
    2. 179 parts and labor. if rotors are required, add 59 per rotor.
    3. 2.5 hours in labor and 395 for the tank.
    4. need abs diag to find code and track down failed part.
    5. chains, guides and tensioners are 200 in parts. labor is over 10 hours as the motor must be removed from the car.
