Question: Repair center drink console lid

How do you detach the door/lid to the center drink holder in the console? A piece of plastic slid in the small slot where the door opens into. I can't open the door enough to pull it out. Is there a way to safely detach and reattach the door/lid/cover?

    put a small (flat head) screw driver in the front and or back between the lid and the consol. what happened to mine is the cup holder, the thing that slides up and down for small and large cups came lose and slipped down the side blocking the door from oppening. It comes out easily with a little screw driver. The olny fix for it is to throw the piece (cup holder that goes up and down ) and use it with out it or buy a new one. You have to replace the entire box. I found one @ Toyota Parts Barn in OH. Dealer here wanted 90.00 for it and 80.00 to install it (lol) I paid 60.83 +9.95 shipping and did it myself for FREE!!
