The spark plug wires just pull upwards off the spark plug wires. Heat cycling may have over time made the plug wires "bond" onto the spark plug ceramic. Try to twist the top of the plug wire rotating it left and right and the pull up wards. When reattaching the plug wires to the spark plug apply some dielectric grease to the plug ceramic to prevent the plug/s/plug wire from bonding in the future.

you can buy a tool to remove the plug wires from the plug.some look like a long snooted plyers type and some are just a slotted hook looking toolbent to a 90degree end oppisite from the hand grip.If there is limited space at the rear of the engine, you may have to pry it loose from the plug with a screwdriver. You may need to use a cut off piece of fuel line 3/8in or a piece of vacumn line to replace the plugs,if the head is aluminum be sure to use anti sieze lube on the plug threads. Before installing the plugs!!!
