I have the EXACT same question, although it seems no one has answered yours yet and it's been a couple months... Did you have any luck pulling yours out? I need to decide if it's something I can do myself or if I need to take it in to the shop.
EDIT: So here is what I did.
1. Loosen the sliding mounting bracket for the alternator and remove the belt that it shares with the A/C unit.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector for the wiring to the A/C.
3. Remove the two small circulating hoses from the from the front of the A/C.
4. Remove the 4 mounting bolts and pull the A/C out.
The whole process was fast and super easy. All you need is a socket set and you can have it out in 10 mins.
