2002 Pontiac Sunfire Question: removal of gas tank

Did you remove the filler tube? sounds like you have everything covered. It just maybe hung on something in that area and needs to be moved one way or another to get it started down. Don't give up I think you are very close to getting this done.

is your filler neck disconnected if it is then try putting some pressure on tank they can sometimes stick to the floor
