The on dash display for the remote throttle error keeps appearing. I turn the truck off and the display disappears but within a thirty mile drive the error reappears. The power of the truck is less with hardly any pickup upon accelleration. I changed the pedal.

2005 Ford F-350 Super Duty Question: Remote Throttle
Answer #1DaveJHM October 16, 2010, 00:27Master
I am pretty familiar with the 6.0L, and a dash display for remote throttle error doesn't ring a bell. Is it in the message center?
The 6.0L equipped Super Duty's are not known for issues with the pedal assembly. Safe to say the power issue with your engine may or may not have anything to do with the error you are seeing. However, you always start with what you know.
In the accelerator pedal system, there is the pedal assembly itself, and the PCM (powertrain control module) that are in play. Those two parts and wiring are all that would be replaced if there was a system failure.
First thing you really need to do is check for codes. Then, you can test for what the codes give you direction on.
