MasterOn some vehicle this is not an issue, on some it is. On the ones where the spring only goes in one way, it would be difficult to put it in upside down, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.

RookieOn a 1992 Audi 100, it appears that the spring does not hit the spring seat stop like it is supposed to. Would like to see a diagram of the coil spring assembly.
