I feel like that it is important that if a service is needed, you should show me the problem so that I can better understand what it is you are working on versus just hearing the service adviser saying I have a problem that needs to be fixed. That being said, it also allows the owner to become more knowledgeable in this process and more aware of what to look for when problems start to arise.
While the repairs to my vehicle was good in the end, the method of repairs were piece-meal at best. After one part of the repair, they would attempt return the vehicle with obvious repair work still required, things I pointed out when I brought the vehicle in. Then it would be, we got most of the vibration out so it should ride a lot smoother. After three attempts, they finally got it right.
