Lowbeam headlight keeps shorting. Appears as common wiring harness issue. Any recalls?

There is no recall or even technical service bulletin regarding a problem. Does one or both light bulb blow? Could it be water or moisture entering the headlamp causing the bulb to blow.
The wiring diagram shows fuse #17 (20 Amp fuse) protecting high and low light right side and fuse #15 (20 amp fuse) protecting high and low light . It would be interesting to put an amp meter in series where that fuse is and see if each circuit draws the same amount of current on high and then low beam.
There are two relays in the circuit and the light switch any of which I suppose could also give problems. But the answer to you question is no recalls. I work on quite a few of these and haven't seen a problem.
