We just moved to the area and were looking for a mechanic. During my morning commute I pass by Reco's Renches everyday.
When my breaks started to squeal, I thought I'd give Reco's shop a call.
I called and left a message. Ivy returned my call promptly and helped me figure out when I could drop off and pick up my car considering my and my husband's schedule.
When we dropped off the car, Reco gave us a free break inspection.
When he called with the diagnostic, I was expecting the usual high price rundown. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that nothing was wrong with my breaks! They were working perfectly fine and were just experiencing an inconvenient squeak.
I was at work when I got the call and immediately told my co-workers "I found an HONEST MECHANIC!".
Since the car was in the shop, I ended up opting for an oil change that I needed anyways.

My experience at Reco's Renches has always been top notch. Reco and his wife Ivy are genuine and professional. Ivy is always pleasant when she communicates with us. Their shop is welcoming and she makes you feel at ease. Reco not only uses his knowledge to keep your automobile running, but he also shares his knowledge to educate and empower you to become a better automobile owner. I can't help but appreciate a business owner that really gives back to the community. Reco's Renches is second to none.

I positively recommend Reco's car repair shop to everyone. It was a blessing meeting Reco. He was very professional and honest with me in evaluating the repairs needed to fix my car. He kept me informed on what he was doing and I was really grateful for that.Ivy his wife was just a sweetheart. They both work hand and hand and for me it was a relief. The costs of the repairs was reasonable and affortable. I am happy and truly satisfied. Their motto is " We Make Your Car Happy So You Can Smile " and I am still smiling.

Doctor Reco is the best. He is very honest, clean shop, a great mechanic he goes through you step by step about what he is doing with your car and if he sees something else while he is working on your vehicle to call to your attention he will call you and reccomend what needs to be done. He cares about his customer's and the best thing is he is ASE Certified. If you want your vehicle fixed right then I highly reccomend Dr. Reco.

I was recently introduced to Reco of reco's renches. My car was having major issues. Reco came to my rescue and I have been bring all of my vehicles there from engine replacement to routine maintance. I enjoy the atmosphere at the shop while waiting for my diagnois. I never feel like I'm being over charged and the work I have to say I am most satisfied.

We’re beyond satisfied with the service we’ve received from Reco’s Wrenches. This is a family owned business that provides A-1 customer service. As you know when your vehicle is sick you have to take it in to be repaired….. No one likes to take their car to the mechanic because all you can see are dollar signs….. But one thing I’ve learned, you get what you pay for. I LOVE Reco’s Wrenches because not only do I get top notch service but his prices are competitive. When I take my car in once, I never have to take it back for the same thing. My car problem is always resolved the first time. I also like the fact that Reco explains in laymen terms what was wrong and what he did to fix it. Reco has serviced my family’s 1983 Toyota Cressida, 1994 Toyota Camry, and 2003 Toyota Echo at various establishments including his own shop.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the level of service I have received and have the confidence to take my car anywhere.
To date, my experience is that my Toyota Echo has over 55,590 miles and the Camry has over 276,000 miles. Both are in excellent condition. The Toyota is on track to reach 300,000 miles. These results are shared here as my experience, but what better hands to place your vehicle than with a repair shop with such a great track record! Today’s experience is exceptionally over 5 stars!

I have been a customer of Reco for almost 13 years. He used to share a shop in Oakland but has since opened his own shop in Pittsburgh, CA. I live in Alameda which is a short hop, skip, and a jump from Oakland. Pittsburgh is a good 25 mile drive from my home but I continue to take my car to him. He has taken care of all of my cars. I trust him implicitly with estimates of repair and recommendations. He is as honest a owner/technician as can be found. His shop should get 10 stars instead of 5.

Reco has been working on my cars for close to 20 years. Having him leave Oakland to open his shop in Pittsburg was hard, but still he is close enough to have quality work done. I always know the work that Reco puts into the upkeep of my car is done with care & expertise. My daughter has taken her cars to Reco's also. The BEST shop is the Bay Area. Keep up the great service !!!!

I have been a cutomer of Rico's for over 20 years and he has given me excellent service. Through the years he has maintained the maintenace and repair of every vehicle I have owned from my 1987 Dodge Caravan, my 1996 Infinity I30, 2000 Subaru Forester and my 2006 Subaru Forester. I destintly remember when Rico told me I had to junk my Dodge Caravan I had been driving for 9 years and he would no longer work on the van because it had seen its days. He did not want me to throw good money on a vehicle that was worn out.
A couple of times with the two new Subaru Foresters', I had to take my vehcile to the Dealership. This was when Rico contacted me to let me know that my vehicle had a recall emissions controls catalytic coverter and just recently for my 2006 Subaru Engine Control Module software logic that will improve the performance of my vehcile's emission control system. Rico informed me before I had received the recall letters from Subaru of America, Inc. My husband advised me early in our marraige when you find a good mechanic you stick with him. When Rico opened his business in Pittsburg, CA I was very happy for him but very sad for myself because all these years he had always worked just 1/2 mile from my home in Oakland. Now I travel 24.5 miles to have my vehicle serviced and maintained by my mehanic Rico. Pittsburg Chambers of Commerce is very lucky to have such an excellent and honest Business man to represent the community. When my Cadillac dealership closed down I was wondering where I was going to take my car that is nearby...I met Reco at the Pittsburg Car Show and was ecstatic when I found out he was only a few blocks from my house...but how good was he? Well, I decided to take it in and find out...I dropped my car off and they gave me a ride back to my house...so friendly! Then they picked me up after the work was done which was a very short time....My car was running perfectly...I would'nt think to take my car anywhere else...and they are so much more reasonable than my dealership was...I would recommend them to everyone....Ivy at the front desk takes the time to explain every detail to you...I LOVE OLD TOWN PITTSBURG!!!!

I brought my car to Reco's Renches on a tow truck, and i left it with the owner. He told me to return in two days. So i did and when i recieved my car back it was just like it was fresh from the factory. I told everybody i knew about this new shop. I have yet to hear anything bad. They do the best work around. Everyone should at least check out there great prices espically for oil changes, they have the lowest price in the bay area. That i've seen. So go check it out you wont be disapointed. Guaranteed......
