What steps are required, after replacing ac compressor/dryer/evaporator, as needed, to recharge system to optimum performance?

    Evacuate the system with a vacuum pump, for at least 30 minutes. With the system still in a vacuum, add the appropriate amount of refrigerant and refrigerant oil as specified by Ford. I would also add some fluorescent dye to assist in finding leaks in the future.
    If you do not have the equipment to do this, I suggest you take it a shop that does.

    Thanks, for answer,bretb. Any need to replace switches, controls, etc?

    The only thing I would consider replacing is the orifice tube (if applicable), this has a filter built into it. Other than that, replace only parts that are needed.
