Recently my car starting bucking when accelerating occasionally. Why? on 1997 Saturn SL1

My mechanic took for test drive, didn't happen of course. He said it could be fuel pump or any number of things. What should I do first? Not sure of engine.

Have it scanned for possible misfire code. Check engine light been on at all?

The mechanic put it on computer and nothing showed up. Engine light is not on.

Nothing more TO do then! Unless you just start guessing at it, that don't help! Got to have some guided direction to go in! That adds up to hands-on diagnoses when it is acting up.

Thanks! That's pretty much what my mechanic said.

Intermittent's are near impossible to find/fix! It should show up as a code before long though. I figure it's a misfire but there again,, a guess!
