Toyota is recalling 1990 Camry models because the electronic control unit (ECU) for the power door lock system can fail, causing the contacts to "weld." This may result in door lock solenoid damage, which may make the doors fail to lock or unlock, even under manual operation. This can prevent passengers from exiting the vehicle in an emergency situation. Dealers will install an additional subcircuit relay control to prevent malfunction of original relays in the ECU.
All Car Recalls
Ford has recalled certain 1990 Taurus and Mercury Sable and 1991 Explorer vehicles for an issue with the front seat rigid seat belt buckles. Some buckles will not release, some will not latch at all, and some may not latch fully. All concerns pose safety risks to occupants. Dealers will replace the rigid mounted belt buckles with end release buckles.
The seat belts may not latch correctly. Dealers will inspect and replace defective seat belt assemblies free of charge to correct the concern.
