Toyota Recalls 1992 Corollas Due to Incorrect Certification Labels

Toyota is recalling 1992 Corolla models due to a computer program error that caused certain digits of the GVWR and the GAWR to appear in incorrect locations on the certification label located on the left front door of the affected vehicles. Dealers will replace the certification labels.

DUE TO A COMPUTER PROGRAM ERROR, CERTAIN DIGITS OF THE GVWR AND THE GAWR APPEARED IN INCORRECT LOCATIONS ON THE CERTIFICATION LABEL LOCATED ON THE LEFT FRONT DOOR OF THE SUBJECT VEHICLES.
THE CERTIFICATION LABEL WOULD NOT COMPLY WITH THE STANDARDS OF 49 CFR PART 576.
RETURN THE VEHICLE TO THE TOYOTA DEALER FOR EXCHANGE OF THE CERTIFICATION LABEL.
