Question: Rear Window glass separated from the mechanism

Question

Visitor, Fort White, FL, April 11, 2010, 13:11

Here's what happened: I pushed the button (from driver position) to open rear window. I heard a cracking sound, like glass popping. The window stopped lowering and fell. The motor still works to try to open and close, but the glass remains free and will not raise. What do I do to repair this?

this happened to me, however I ended up replacing the motor and regulator. Sounds like your window just popped off. take off the door panel and black foam sheet covering. It will be sticky. Your window will have a circulor hole on the bottom center of the glass. just pull back the glass enough to pop the orange arm piece attached to the regulator back in. you'll have to lower the regular enough to fit your hand in to see what you're doing.
