GMC Yukon XL Denali Problem
Model Years Affected: 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008
Average Mileage: 55,200 mi (40,000 mi - 86,000 mi)
The rear window defogger may stop working due to a wire terminal broken off of the rear glass. Our technicians tell us that terminal can be reattached using a special glue or silver solder.

Does anyone know what the special glue is to reattached the wire for the rear defroster?

Rear window defroster tab popped off window. Repeated attempts to fix were unsuccessful. I've tried epoxy, silver solder, copper conductive tape, and a defroster repair kit from Pep Boys. Probably going to need to get a new window, at this point.

Permatex has a product named rear defroster repair kit, I bought mine at a Murrays parts store $14. Clean the window area and broken tab with the cleaner / activator wait 5 minutes apply the conductive epoxy hold in place for 1 minute, let everything dry for 24 hours reconnect the wire to the tab (hold the tab with you finger) and whalaa ,,, it works great...

Knocked off the contact when wiping window off. It popped off very easily. I may try to solder it on.
